Intercultural Communication
AGM offers cross-cultural
trainings to help executives and engineers reflect on how they respond
to working in an international context, and build the skills and knowledge
they need to operate successfully in this context.
Aims
Our cross-cultural communication trainings are designed for professionals
who need to improve quality, clearness, and sensitivity of their communication
with partners from other cultures. After completion of the training, participants
will have an enhanced ability to interact with people from other cultures
and build up trusting relationships.
Learning Outcomes
The training helps participants build a practical and personal approach
to written and spoken communication in an international context. Participants
develop a better understanding of the 'mis-factors' in communicating across
cultures (misperceptions, misinterpretations, misunderstandings, and mistrust)
and of different culturally-motivated communication styles.
Core Content
The programme will cover the following topics:
identifying culturally rooted behaviour
ground rules for communication in international meetings and negotiations
communication across cultures
detecting adequate balances of different modes of communication
developing perceptiveness and assertiveness for communicating in a cross-cultural context
Methods
Hands-on examples, role-plays, simulations, group discussions and case-studies
complement instruction. Diversity within the training group is also utilised
as a resource for learning. The trainings
are delivered by experienced European, Brazilian and Chinese consultants
with expertise in intercultural studies and Business experience. Training
can be held in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, or partially in Chinese.
Conditions
Our trainings are designed to be delivered over a period of one
or two days, depending on clients particular needs.
We accept individuals on a one-to-one basis and small groups up to a maximum
of 10 participants. Our trainings can be conducted either In-Company or
on our premises in Nuremberg, Germany.
Our prices vary according to the nature, size, length and complexity of the particular
